What a week! I did over £300 worth of commissions on Sunday and despite having developed a rather unpleasant head cold have even more coming in. This is very good indeed but I'm taking tomorrow off. I can't concentrate and know that writing articles when sick is not wise. The good news is that two of the commissions for NEO aren't due for a few weeks and one of them is likely to be a cover! It's also review time for Newtype USA so it'll be nice to catch up on the latest cute manga series. Woo hoo!
Even better, I got paid today which makes me feel a little better about that £56 I spent on a bundle of DVDs I bought (curse HMV for their addictive BOGOF sales), still at least I've got plenty to watch. Actually, I should probably start rewatching Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and 2nd GIG tomorrow. Farhana at The Associates sent me the box sets for research purposes, there's a lot to get through and next week is insanely busy. Aside from my regular NEO column, I've got a couple of other things I know will be due next week which I have to chase tomorrow, despite sounding like I've swallowed a frog and I've also got a funeral to attend next Wednesday which will take up most of the day.
At some point I also have to arrange going to the London Expo. I want to go with Keri and Stu has been telling me all about the stuff that goes on (I'm a con virgin). The only problem is, for some odd (read: insanely stupid) reason, there are no direct trains to London from Norwich that weekend. Instead I have to go to Cambridge and change after waiting an hour. My mother wants to use this opportunity to give me a lift and see an old friend of hers who lives in there. I just have to figure out which day is best and book tickets. Should be a very fun weekend though. Now I just have to get over this annoying cold.
